Stephanie McMahon ‘would completely support’ her daughters in WWE

Stephanie McMahon would fully support her daughters if they wanted to become WWE wrestlers — but she knows how hard they would have to work to prove themselves given who their parents are.

McMahon and Paul “Triple H” Levesque have three daughters who are now 19, 17 and 15 years old. Their eldest daughter Aurora is studying physical therapy in college and hopes to earn a doctorate’s degree. But McMahon doesn’t rule out Aurora or any of her children entering the family business someday, even in an in-ring role.

“Oh, totally,” McMahon said on her “What’s Your Story?” podcast when asked if she would support her daughters becoming wrestlers. “I mean, they would have to work really hard, right? And I think, you know, when you are the child of, you have to earn it more, quite frankly, in order to appreciate the business, appreciate the people in the business. Respect is earned, not given. And you have to earn it every day. And I think it would be harder for them in that respect, but I would completely support it.”

For herself, McMahon considers growing up in pro wrestling to have been a privilege. It allowed her to be around so many different types of people and develop a sense of family with them.

“We’re a family. And I feel even our fans are a part of this family,” she said. “And wrestling fans are my people, you know, that’s what I feel like anyway. And I just feel it’s such a special environment of people who, you know, really are down to earth, just have a particular set of values and they know what they believe in. And I just feel very fortunate to be a part of it. And I would definitely encourage my kids if they wanted to be a part of it.”

McMahon recalled that, when she was young, Aurora told her that she didn’t want her mother’s job or her father’s job — she wanted Vince McMahon’s job of running WWE. Aurora later even trained in the ring with Natalya and Charlotte Flair. But Aurora started to see WWE as less of a viable path after everything that went down with her grandfather’s alleged sexual assault and trafficking scandal that led to him resigning from the company.

“She’s naturally gifted, like in the ring,” Stephanie said about Aurora. “Nattie used to train her. She did, you know, a long time ago, like, and then everything happened, you know, with my dad and the business and I left.

“And I think I don’t realize necessarily the impact that it had, especially on Aurora, but on all of my kids, because Aurora always saw a path forward through the business. And when everything happened suddenly, that wasn’t there anymore. And she had to shift her focus and what she thought she was going to do. And that happens in life anyway. I mean, you constantly change and all of that. But it was a path that she felt suddenly wasn’t there anymore. So who knows? She might find her way back to it. But Charlotte had a couple of matches with her, trained with her. Nattie trained her. And they both said what a natural in the ring she was.â€

Stephanie does not currently have any kind of executive role with WWE but makes occasional appearances and hosts her podcast for the WWE & Fanatics podcast network. She is set to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame next year.

Triple H runs WWE creative with the job title of Chief Content Officer.
