Thereâ€s been a lot of talk about this yearâ€s PWI 500; one of the biggest topics surrounding it is the absence of WWE Superstar Roman Reigns.
While Roman Reigns is arguably one of the biggest WWE Superstars of all time, there is a good reason why the Tribal Chief was excluded from this yearâ€s list. The criteria wouldnâ€t allow him to be on it.
Pro Wrestling Illustrated has a strict criteria of what it takes to be included on the PWI 500. And one specific point automatically disqualified Reigns from being included on this yearâ€s list: activity.
The PWI 500 requires each name on the list to have wrestled ten singles matches within the evaluation period. Reigns only competed eight times during the evaluation period, and only two of them were one-on-one singles matches.
Beyond activity, Reigns easily qualified for every other piece of criteria to be included on the list. But if you miss one, youâ€re out. Unfortunately for Roman, he was on the outside looking in this year.
