Rey Mysterio officially returned to WWE on Monday and had a lot to say to his son.
On Mondayâ€s episode of WWE RAW, Mysterio made his return tonight following a groin injury thatâ€s kept him sidelined since WrestleMania 41. Mysterio came down to interrupt his son, Dominik, who was proclaiming himself to be the greatest luchador of all time. In the ring, Mysterio berated his son, then asked if he really thought Dominik was better than someone like Eddie Guerrero.
Dominik then shocked Rey and the crowd, saying to keep his “fatherâ€s†name out of Reyâ€s mouth. Rey went on to say he wouldnâ€t let Dominik disrespect the lucha libre culture. After some more back and forth, Dominik tried to hit Rey, but Mysterio countered it, and hit a 619 before his son left the ring.
Reyâ€s injury occurred right before he was set to face off against El Grande Americano at WM41. Mysterio had been appearing at AAA shows, but this was his first time at a WWE show in quite some time.
