TNA iMPACT Results
We get a recap of last week’s opening segment featuring Trick Williams’ confrontation with Mike Santana, as well as the conclusion to the TNA Knockouts World Championship triple threat at WWE Heatwave.
Mike Santana and Steve Maclin vs. Trick Williams and AJ Francis
- The finish of the match saw Santana catch Williams off guard with a pin for the win.
Winners: Mike Santana and Steve Maclin
After the match, Santana takes down Trick Williams and lands a barrage of blows. The referee tries to calm Mike down. Trick, somehow, escapes the ring as Santana and Maclin stands tall to end the segment.
Grade: B+
A solid opening contest that continued the storyline feud between Mike Santana and Trick Williams. Williams and Francis make for a great heel tag team. They kept the interaction between Santana short with Maclin and Francis doing most of the work. Santana was unable to hit Spin the Block but he still managed to pin the TNA World Champion.
Gia Miller is backstage with Cedric Alexander and Leon Slater. Alexander hypes up their upcoming tag team match against The Hardys. Slater sounds a bit hesitant at first but admits being a protégé to The Hardys doesn’t mean he can’t square off against the duo. He says he likes to get some more titles around his waist.
Eric Young vs. Myron Reed
- The finish of the match saw Yong plant Reed with a piledriver for the win.
Winner: Eric Young
Grade: B-
The slow build-up to EY’s prophesized “Cleanse” is intriguing. Myron Reed looks great in the match but came short of winning. That’s what matters in this business. Let’s see what’s next in store for the “Young Goat.”
Dani Luna appears in a backstage promo segment. Luna says she had a week to think about her actions. She sounds completely unapologetic for attacking Indi Hartwell and Jody Threat with a steel chair last week. Luna says she’s finally out of the limbo and it’s her time as the show goes to a commercial break.
The Elegance Brand is backstage. Ash By Elegance is eccentric over her TNA Knockouts World Championship win at WWE Heatwave. She wants appreciation for her win last week. Ash says they’ve officially entered the “Elegance Era.” The Personal Concierge says they’ll hold a grand celebration next week live in Minneapolis for the “savior” of TNA Wrestling.
The IInspiration vs. Fatal Influence
- The finish of the match saw The IInspiration hit Jazmyn Nyx with The Idolizer for the win.
Winners: The IInspiration
Grade: C+
The IInspiration aren’t the most polished tag team when it comes to in-ring work but Jessica McKay and Cassie Lee are entertaining. It appears they’re next in line to challenge for the TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championship following their win against Fatal Influence.
We see Trick Williams talking to his lawyer on the phone. Williams says he was assaulted by Mike Santana after the bell. He says he didn’t sign up for this. Williams tells the trainer to slow down because he’s still reeling from the effects of the assault. He tells his lawyer to show up ASAP.
Ryan Nemeth is in the iMPACt Zone. Nemeth tells the crowd his big brother, Nic Nemeth, returns to TNA Wrestling next week. Nemeth gets interrupted by Elisha Edwards of The System. Elisha says fans seem to be enjoying what The System has been doing as of late. Nemeth takes this as a challenge from Edwards who tells him that he’s going to fight her husband as Eddie Edwards takes down Nemeth with a chop. Eddie then grabs the mic and tells Nemeth the match is official.
Eddie Edwards vs. Ryan Nemeth
- The finish of the match saw Eddie Edwards plant Ryan Nemeth with the Boston Knee Party for the win.
Winner: Eddie Edwards
Grade: B-
A nice little impromptu match for those who hate Ryan Nemeth’s guts. He’s just too damn annoying and deserved to get his mouth shut. The System seems to be getting a nice change of pace with their little side quests. Let’s see if this leads to a match with The Nemeths at Victory Road.
Indi Hartwell is backstage for an interview. Hartwell says she’s disappointed by Dani Luna’s action. Santino Marella shows up to announce a number one contender’s match between Indi and Jody Threat for next week. Dani Luna interrupts and mocks Indi. Hartwell asks Santino to add Dani to the match, making it a triple threat. It is official!
The camera is on Eric Young. EY says people have called him all sorts of name but only he know that he’s been telling the truth. The Cleanse is coming. Young says it all started with Joe Hendry as we see EY standing next to a fallen Hendry.
Mara Sade vs. Tasha Steelz
- The finish of the match saw Steelz hit Sade with a cutter for the winner.
Winner: Tasha Steelz
After the match, The Great Hands grab Sade for Steelz to continue the assault. Agent Zero gets in the ring and rocks Sade with a nasty clothesline. The Hardys show up to a massive pop and clear the ring by taking out Hotch and Skyler. Matt and Jeff double clothesline Agent Zero outside the ring to cap. The big man tries to re-enter but is stopped in his tracks by Steelz as the show goes to commercial break.
Grade: B-
The controversial win for Steelz was the right decision. The outcome made Sade look strong. Props to Sade for taking one hell of a clothesline from Agent Zero. The fans in attendance were stunned. Order 4 seems to be the next big heel faction in TNA iMPACT now that The System are playing tweeners.
