A released WWE star has reacted to increasing demands that AEW sign him.
Over the last few months, WWE has released a number of stars from across its rosters. Many of them have made successful ventures into the independent scene, with the prime examples being Priscilla Kelly (fka Gigi Dollin), Shotzi, and Killer Kross and Scarlett Bordeaux. However, many of them remain unsigned and are looking for an opportunity. One such star is BJ Ray, who was a part of both seasons of WWE’s Legends and Future Greats (LFG) show. Ray was mentored by Bully Ray on both seasons and was a fan favorite due to his outspoken and brash personality, which often got him in clashes with other participants on the show and with Bully Ray.
News of his release shocked many fans as they expected him to win the contract or be signed on to NXT. However, this was not meant to be, and BJ Ray has been looking to be signed ever since.
BJ Ray Signs Appear On AEW Dynamite, Former WWE Star Reaches Out To Tony Khan
Despite being released, BJ Ray’s popularity doesn’t seem to have died down, with fans frequently seen tweeting about him to be signed to a major promotion. This sentiment seems to have carried over onto tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite, where a fan showed up with a sign that read “We Want BJ Ray.”
The 26-year-old responded to this by taking to his X/Twitter, where he tagged Tony Khan and wrote:
“@TonyKhan shall we give them people what they want?!”

This is not the first time the former LFG star has reached out to All Elite Wrestling. Immediately after news of his release broke, BJ Ray reached out to Tony Khan, demanding that he call Ray and sign him. Currently, Ray remains unsigned, and fans will have to wait and see if he becomes All Elite.
