BOISBRIAND, Que. — Alex Mercier and Teddy Mutryn each had a goal and two assists, and the visiting Moncton Wildcats pounced on the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada with three first-period goals en route to a 6-1 Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League victory on Thursday.
Matthew Virgilio, Simon Binkley, Kuzma Voronin and Gabe Smith also scored for the Wildcats (8-4-2-0), who led 3-0 after the first period and 5-1 heading into the third. Caleb Desnoyers also chipped in with two assists.
Torkel Jennersjo scored for the Armada (11-5-2-0), who were outshot 30-29 at Centre d’excellence Sports Rousseau.
The Wildcats went 1-for-4 on the power play, while the Armada were 0-for-4.

VICTORIAVILLE, Que. — Carter Fogarty and Yoan Tasse each had a goal and two assists as the visiting Drummondville Voltigeurs whipped the Victoriaville Tigers 5-1.
Jesse Allecia, Dylan Dumont and Louis-Felix Bourque also scored for the Voltigeurs (10-4-1-1). Owen Keefe chipped in with a pair of assists.
Alexis Bourque scored for the Tigres (6-8-2-0), who were outshot 41-22 and trailed 1-0 after the first period and 5-1 heading into the third.
The Tigres went 1-for-4 on the power play, while the Voltigeurs were 2-for-4.
RIMOUSKI, Que. — Mathys Dube had a goal and assist, William Lacelle made 26 saves, and the Rimouski Oceanic blanked the visiting Saint John Sea Dogs 3-0.
Liam Lefebvre and Dovydas Jukna also scored for the Oceanic (8-7-0-1), who led 1-0 after the first period and 2-0 heading into the third.
The Sea Dogs (7-8-1-0), who went 0-for-3 on the power play, were outshot 28-26. The Oceanic were 0-for-4 on the power play.
Netminder Rafael Courchesne stopped 25 of 27 shots for the Sea Dogs.
