A story that claimed Goldberg walked out on an autograph signing has been debunked.
Goldberg appeared at The Big Event EXS over the weekend. A Facebook post from K & S WrestleFest, a vendor at the event, claimed that the WCW Legend was supposed to sign items for them, but walked out early after doing another private signing for another vendor.
“Unfortunately Goldberg private signing did not happen,†the initial post said. “We had all our items laid out ready to sign as Goldberg was doing another Private for another vendor. After he was done, he got up and said he was done..He walked out past our stuff, and left.. We are all super disappointed, and frustrated… My apologies to all…â€
That Facebook post has since been removed, and Big Event promoter Tom Unger says that K&Sâ€s claim is not true. Unger replied to the post and said that Goldberg signed for five hours, and Ken (of K&S) was told Goldberg would sign for them if there was time.
“No, he wasnâ€t. He signed for the fans for 5 hrs straight. Ken wasnâ€t guaranteed anything. I told him if we had time we would get your items done,†Unger wrote. “He shouldnâ€t be posting this all over like the victim. This was my deal and my customers come first. Shouldnâ€t take mail order from all you not knowing if it was going to get done.â€
Goldberg retired from in-ring competition earlier this year. His retirement match took place in July for WWE, a loss to Gunther at WWE Saturday Nightâ€s Main Event.
