The win provided relief for manager Ruben Amorim, while Thomas Frank experienced his first Premier League loss as Tottenham’s manager on Saturday.The victory came shortly after United’s disappointing League Cup elimination by fourth-tier Grimsby. Burnley had managed to equalise twice at Old Trafford before the dramatic finish. Casemiro’s header hit the crossbar, bounced off Burnley captain Josh Cullen’s back, and crossed the line before Martin Dubravka could prevent it.Burnley levelled the score when Lyle Foster finished from Jacob Bruun Larsen’s cross in the 55th minute. Bryan Mbeumo quickly restored United’s lead, scoring his first league goal since joining from Brentford by converting Diogo Dalot’s pass.Jaidon Anthony equalised for Burnley following a defensive error. Altay Bayindir mishandled Loum Tchaouna’s shot, and after Anthony’s attempt, Kobbie Mainoo’s clearance deflected off the goalkeeper into the net. The match concluded with Anthony fouling Amad Diallo, leading to a VAR-reviewed penalty that Fernandes converted.At Tottenham, Bournemouth secured a 1-0 victory, ending Frank’s perfect start since replacing Ange Postecoglou. Evanilson scored the decisive goal in the fifth minute through a deflected shot.Chelsea benefited from controversial VAR decisions in their 2-0 victory over Fulham at Stamford Bridge. Fulham’s Josh King had a goal disallowed when VAR ruled Rodrigo Muniz’s collision with Trevoh Chalobah as a foul.Joao Pedro scored Chelsea’s first goal after the scheduled first-half stoppage time. Their second goal came from Enzo Fernandez’s penalty after Ryan Sessegnon was penalised for handball. Everton secured a 3-2 win at Wolves with Jack Grealish delivering a strong performance. Beto opened the scoring from Grealish’s assist after seven minutes.Hwang Hee-chan equalised for Wolves, scoring his first goal since December from Marshall Munetsi’s cross. Iliman Ndiaye restored Everton’s lead, finishing a combination play involving Grealish and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.Dewsbury-Hall scored Everton’s third from Grealish’s pass before Rodrigo Gomes reduced the deficit for Wolves. Sunderland achieved a remarkable comeback victory against Brentford, winning 2-1 at the Stadium of Light.Kevin Schade missed a penalty for Brentford after Reinaldo fouled Nathan Collins. Igor Thiago gave Brentford the lead with a header in the 77th minute.Sunderland equalised through Enzo Le Fee’s penalty after Rico Henry fouled Habib Diarra. Wilson Isidor completed the comeback with a stoppage-time header past Caoimhin Kelleher, securing Sunderland’s second win since promotion.
