For the second time in 2025, Peter Avalon has undergone surgery.
Avalon — who has been out of action for the entirety of the year — revealed on social media that he underwent knee surgery this Tuesday on his ACL and meniscus. The operation comes six months after Avalon had shoulder surgery to repair his rotator cuff.
“Rotator cuff surgery was April,” Avalon posted on Threads. “Meniscus/ACL surgery was Tuesday.”
When AEW launched in 2019, Avalon was among the original members of the promotion’s roster, playing a librarian character alongside Leva Bates. He is still listed on the AEW roster page, most recently wrestling for the company on ROH in October 2024. That was a tag team match with Avalon & Preston Vance losing to JD Drake & Beef.
Over the summer, Avalon appeared alongside AEW’s Brandon Cutler and Nyla Rose in an event at San Diego Comic-Con.
Avalon has competed in Los Angeles throughout his career and is involved with the Championship Wrestling promotion from United Wrestling Network.
There has not been a date announced regarding when Avalon will be able to return to the ring.
