Kashawn Aitcheson scored the game-winning goal 20 seconds into overtime as the Barrie Colts earned a 3-2 comeback win over the Sarnia Sting on Thursday in Ontario Hockey League action.
Joe Salandra and Alex Assadourian added the others for Barrie (6-7-0-3), which was down 2-0 just past the midway point of the second period.
Arvin Jaswal made 33 saves.
Beckham Edwards and Cameron Aucoin scored for Sarnia (4-7-3). Charlie Larocque stopped 33 shots in the loss.
ERIE, Pa. — Noah Erliden made 41 saves to help lift the Erie Otters to a 4-3 win over the Guelph Storm.
Dylan Edwards, Tristen Trevino, McLean Agrette and Ritter Coombs scored for Erie (5-10-1), which went from being down 2-1 early in the second period to taking a 4-2 lead with Coombs’s empty-netter with 1:07 left in the game.
Ethan Miedema, with two goals, and Rylan Singh, who made it a one-goal game with 26 seconds remaining in the contest, scored for Guelph (6-6-2).
NORTH BAY, Ont. — Brady Martin had a goal and three assists as the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds got past a slow start to turn in a 4-1 victory over the North Bay Battalion.
Travis Hayes, Christopher Brown and Chase Reid also scored for Sault Ste. Marie (10-6-1), which netted all four of its goals in the third period.
Kent Greer opened the scoring for North Bay (7-8-0) at 2:47 of the second period.
PETERBOROUGH, Ont. — Henry Brzustewicz scored twice in leading the London Knights to a 6-1 blowout win over the Peterborough Petes.
Evan Van Gorp, Caleb Mitchell, Ben Wilmott and Max Crete also scored for London (8-2-3).
Adam Levac had the lone goal for Peterborough (6-7-1-1) at 4:51 of the second period on the power play, which made it a 3-1 game.
SAGINAW, Mich. — Mason Vaccari made 29 saves to help lead the Flint Firebirds to a 5-1 victory over the Saginaw Spirit.
Josh Bonnyman, Jimmy Lombardi, with a short-handed goal, Brady Smith, Christopher Thibodeau and Alex Kostov provided the offence for Flint (8-4-1).
Nikita Klepov scored Saginaw’s (5-5-3-2) lone goal at 4:02 of the second period on the power play. Stepan Shurygin stopped 19 shots.
