WWE and AEW have their own operations, and there are a lot of differences. Although one environment may cater stronger to some talents over others, MVP has made his decision to stick around the Land of All Elite.
MVP has been through a lot in his career. At this point, although he is dealing with nagging injuries, he did recently sign a new deal with Tony Khanâ€s company. As leader of the Hurt Syndicate, he has another run with his Hurt Business associates from WWE, and heâ€s seemingly enjoying every moment of it.
During an interview with AdventureGamers.com, MVP discussed the differences between working with AEW President Tony Khan and WWE executives Vince McMahon and Triple H.
“Itâ€s very different because Tony Khan is a completely different human being, with a completely different personality. Heâ€s just a nice guy and a good person. Iâ€ve never had any kind of a relationship with Triple H. Vince I was able to work with and with Vince, Vince knows exactly what he wants, how he wants to do it, and if you can present something that is better, sometimes Vince will listen, but when Vince has a vision, thatâ€s it. You go with it. Thereâ€s no second guessing it. Tony Khan is a lot more interactive and will take in a lot more ideas, and heâ€s more willing to be pliable when it comes to his vision and how he wants to present it and what heâ€s willing to do to add to it or to change it. Heâ€s just a nice guy. Itâ€s funny, like his energy level. Heâ€s always happy, and Iâ€ve never seen him be mean to somebody.â€
As someone who has spent time in WWE and AEW, MVP understands how the two companies operate. MVP went on to describe the working environment differences between WWE and AEW.
“Itâ€s a much different environment where WWE was very corporate, very tight laced, for some people even uncomfortable, and theyâ€re made to feel like theyâ€re walking on eggshells and people are scared of getting fired. That environment doesnâ€t exist in AEW. Itâ€s way more relaxed. No oneâ€s walking on eggshells. The boss has time for everybody. And itâ€s super fun. No stress.â€
Some fans may argue that MVP is a shoo-in WWE Hall of Fame. Of course, that induction likely wonâ€t come to pass as long as heâ€s locked into a deal with AEW. At this point, he seems to be enjoying the stress-free setting in AEW over the “walking on eggshells†that he dealt with in WWE.
WWE and AEW have their own fans, because pro wrestling is a variety bag with a ton of tastes. MVP will stick around AEW at this point, and it doesnâ€t seem like heâ€s regretting that choice at all.
