Stop us if youâ€ve heard this one, but even more TNA Wrestling contracts are set to expire by the end of the year. Which now includes some former champions.
While TNA continues to pursue a new rights deal for iMPACT in 2026, they are facing a serious roster issue. A number of big contracts are reportedly set to expire before the end of the year.
In recent weeks, weâ€ve heard reports about the following talents who have deals expiring between now and the end of the year:
- Current World Tag Team Champions, The Hardys
- Current International Champion, Steve Maclin
- Current Knockouts Tag Team Champions, The IInspiration
- Former World Champion, Mike Santana
- Former X-Division Champion, Mustafa Ali
- Cedric Alexander
- Multiple members of The Rascalz
If this wasnâ€t bad enough, we can now add two additional names to this list.
AJ Francis and Jody Threatâ€s TNA deals are set to expire soon
According to Fightfulâ€s Sean Ross Sapp (via Fightful Select), former TNA Digital Media Champion AJ Francis will see his TNA contract expire by the end of the year. Like many of the names above, TNA is hopeful to retain Francis in 2026.
In addition to Francis, former TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champion Jody Threat appeared on this morningâ€s episode of Fightfulâ€s In The Weeds with Jeremy Lambert and Joel Pearl, where she revealed her contract with TNA is set to expire soon. Sapp reached out to TNA for clarification via Fightful Select, and the company confirmed they hope to retain her as well.
For a company desperately in need of some good PR right now, if they have re-signed any of the above talents, now is the time to announce it.
Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more information as it becomes available.
