Mickie James was recently called out by a WWE star.
Kelani Jordan is on a roll. After retaining her TNA Knockouts Title against Jordynne Grace on NXT, she’s proceeded to call out other wrestling legends from the promotion.
The match main evented NXT this week. Jordan was initially hesitant to use the Knockouts Title as a weapon, but ended up doing whatever was required to retain her championship. This marked a heel turn, which the young star remains unfazed by.
After the match, Kelani Jordan tagged TNA stars who once held the title and were associated with the promotion – Mickie James, Gail Kim, Tasha Steelz, ODB, Velvet Sky, Angelina Love, and Awesome Kong.

After Ash by Elegance vacated the title in September, a singles match was set up at Victory Road. The NXT star defeated Léi Ying Lee with Indi Hartwell serving as a special guest referee.
Mickie James Is Open To An In-Ring Return
In 2002, Mickie James was associated with TNA before joining WWE. After nearly 7 years with the company, James was released and made her second return to TNA. In 2023, she competed in her final match in the promotion. This year, she was inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame.
The 5-time WWE Women’s Champion was a guest on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, where she was asked about the possibility of a full-time in-ring return.
“Hell, yeah! I could do 10 more. But itâ€s also with the career that Iâ€ve been so blessed to have, and the moments that Iâ€ve been able to have and the people that Iâ€ve been able to work with, I could retire tomorrow and be a happy woman. I donâ€t have anything else, I think, to prove in the wrestling business, but I also love it, and thereâ€s nothing like it.”
James was a participant in the 2018 Royal Rumble. A couple of years later, she competed in the Battle Royal while representing TNA, by having the Knockouts Championship around her waist for her WWE entrance.
