Matt Cardona wrote a touching message for his wife, Chelsea Green, who became a double champion in WWE.
Just recently, Green and NXT North American Champion Ethan Page won the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championships from La Hiedra and Mr. Iguana at AAA’s Alianzasevent on November 2. Then, on this week’s episode of SmackDown, the 37-year-old star shockingly dethroned WWE Women’s United States Championship from Giulia in just over a minute. As a result, the Green Regime leader is now a double champion in the Stamford-based promotion. She’s also popular right now despite being a heel, with the crowd in Greenville, South Carolina, going bananas for her championship victory.
No person was prouder of Green than her husband, Matt Cardona, who issued a heartwarming note on social media about the recent milestone of her other half.
Matt Cardona Credits WWE Star Chelsea Green As His Inspiration
Former WWE Superstar Matt Cardona turned to X (fka Twitter) to express how proud he was of his wife, Chelsea Green, who is now a double champion in the sports entertainment giant. The Indy God shared that when talents asked him for advice, he immediately told them not to stop reaching their dreams.
Cardona then went to commend Green’s hard work and determination to be better and used her as an example. The former Intercontinental Champion also praised the current Women’s United States Champion’s resiliency and ended the heartfelt tweet by saying that he’s very proud of her.
When wrestlers ask me for advice, I say donâ€t quit…thatâ€s it. You might make it if you donâ€t. You definitely wonâ€t make it if you do. @ImChelseaGreenis proof of that. A career of highs and lows…didnâ€t complain…did the work…did the extra work…was Alwayz Ready! (sheâ€ll hate that I said the part) Iâ€m very proud of you babe…I love you,” Cardona penned.
