Liv Morgan is keeping fans in suspense about her long-awaited return to WWE.
Former World Heavyweight Champion made headlines when she attended the Stranger Things Season 5 world premiere in Los Angeles on November 6, where she spoke about her comeback to the ring. When asked whether fans could expect her to return in a few months, weeks, or even sooner, Morgan gave an elusive response that left everyone guessing about her exact timeline.
I think that’s just going to have to be something you’re going to have to watch me,” she said, offering no concrete details about when she might step back into the ring. (H/T: Netflix)

Morgan has been sidelined since June 16, when she suffered a dislocated shoulder during a match against Kairi Sane on Monday Night RAW. The injury happened early in the bout after a single-leg takedown, forcing her to land awkwardly on her shoulder. She immediately rolled out of the ring and was escorted away by medical staff. The match was awarded to Sane by forfeit. Morgan underwent surgery shortly after the incident and has been working through a rigorous rehabilitation program since then.
At the Stranger Things premiere, Morgan demonstrated she is making good progress with her recovery by making a rare public appearance. She shared her thoughts on the show while discussing her return plans. When asked which WWE Superstar could defeat a Demogorgon, she immediately named Dominik Mysterio. Morgan also drew an interesting parallel between herself and the show’s main character Eleven, noting how the character bounces back stronger after facing adversity.
Every single time she gets knocked down, she comes back stronger and more powerful than ever,” Morgan said about Eleven, seemingly hinting at her own mindset regarding her comeback.
Before her injury, Morgan was positioned prominently in several major storylines. She held the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship alongside Raquel Rodriguez as part of The Judgment Day. When Morgan went down with the injury, Roxanne Perez was brought into Judgment Day and took over as Rodriguez’s tag team partner. They lost the titles to the team of Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss at SummerSlam after an action-packed match.
Liv Morgan’s Potential WWE Return
According to reports from PWInsider, WWE is targeting early 2026 for Morgan’s medical clearance to return to in-ring competition. However, sources indicate there is optimism that she could make her comeback sooner if her recovery continues to progress faster than expected. WWE officials have made it clear they are very excited about Morgan’s eventual return to the roster. Many wrestling insiders and fans believe that the 2026 Royal Rumble in January could be the perfect stage for her big return, especially considering her significant popularity in Saudi Arabia, where the event will take place in Riyadh.
The question now facing WWE creative is what happens when Morgan returns. Will she rejoin Perez and Rodriguez in Judgment Day, or will tension develop given how quickly Perez has risen within the faction during Morgan’s absence? Wrestling fans have speculated about potential storyline directions, including whether Morgan and Perez will clash for position within the group or if they will work together against outside threats.
