The Wellsboro Varsity Volleyball team took down Athens in four sets to win their second straight game on Thursday evening.
The Lady Wildcats won the first set 25-20 before Wellsboro rattled off three wins in a row.
Wellsboro took the second set 25-17, won the third 25-22, and won 25-17 in the fourth.
Senior Taylor Main scored 17 points and had 5 aces to lead the Lady Hornets while junior Madison Cruttenden had 15 points (3 aces) and 10 digs. Sophomores Peyton Keane and Kendall Sweet recorded 8 kills apiece, junior Ellie Largey made 12 assists and 7 digs, and junior Blake Eckart made 12 digs.
Sophomore Adelyn Frantz added 5 kills and Main also contributed 7 assists.
Wellsboro swept Athens in the JV game, winning 25-18 and 25-22 to improve to 5-1.
The Varsity team also improves to 5-1 (4-1 NTL Large School Division). The team is back in action Saturday against Williamsport.
