Kota Ibushi suffered an injury during last weekâ€s AEW Collision tapings.
The accident happened in his match against Josh Alexander, when Alexander pushed him off the top rope. Ibushi fell from the turnbuckle to the floor outside the ring, causing injury to his leg. Officials immediately checked on him, and he was eventually stretchered to the back.
After the incident, AEW President Tony Khan expressed his gratitude for Ibushi, calling him one of the best wrestlers in the world and wishing him a smooth recovery. Kota Ibushi now have provided an update on his condition.
He confirmed the injury but reassured fans that he does not plan to end his career and revealed that Tony Khan sent him a letter and flowers to show his support. On his Instagram he wrote, “Again? Again? Iâ€ve only had serious injuries. This is a broken femur, and the broken bone is trying to break through the flesh. They told me to stop, but the surgery was completed successfully!! “(Unless I get another serious injury) I plan to live my life as a normal person from now on. Itâ€s been about five years of breaking, healing, and accidents but it didnâ€t end like this, right? “
