John Cena wins the Intercontinental Championship
It was already advertised that John Cena would appear on this episode of WWE Raw. Triple H kicked off this show and introduced John Cena one final time. John Cena came out to the ring and said Thank you for believing in me. As Cena was talking, he was interrupted by the Intercontinental Champion, Dominik Mysterio. Dominik came out and said he is better than John Cena at any time and in any era. After that, Triple H announced that Dominik Mysterio will defend his Intercontinental Championship against John Cena.
This match started with a very fast pace, and Dominik got the upper hand in the beginning of the match. During the middle of the match, the referee was knocked out of the ring, and during that time, Cena locked Dominik in the STF, and he tapped out, but there was no referee to see it. At the end of the match, Dominik delivered his signature Frog Splash; however, Cena countered the move and delivered an AA to win the match and become the new Intercontinental Champion. Cena ended his final Raw appearance in his hometown by saying, “The Champ is hereâ€.
Damian Priest vs Rusev
The first match of John Cenaâ€s “last time is now†tournament was a one-on-one match between Damian Priest and Rusev. This match went on for 15+ minutes and was one of the hardest-hitting matches of the entire night. At the end of the match, Rusev poked Damian Priestâ€s eye and then delivered a Machka Kick to secure the win via pinfall.
Logan Paul joins the Vision
CM Punk came out and called out Logan Paul after Paul attacked him last week. Logan Paul came out and said he does not want to get cracked every week by Bronson Reed, and after that, Logan Paul further said, “After last week, my eyes have been opened to a whole new visionâ€. After that, Paul Heyman, Bronson Reed, and Bron Breakker joined Logan Paul, and as they were about to attack CM Punk, Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes came out to save Punk. This segment ended with Punk, Uso, and Rhodes getting the upper hand and making The Vision leave the ring.
Stephanie Vaquer vs Raquel Rodriguez
Stephanie Vaquer defended her Womenâ€s World Championship against Raquel Rodriguez in a one-on-one match. This match went on for 15+ minutes, and at the end of the match, we saw Vaquer delivering her Corkscrew Moonsault to retain her championship via pinfall. After the match, we saw one of the most interesting moments of todayâ€s Raw, Nikki Bella officially turned heel and attacked Stephanie Vaquer.
Sheamus vs Shinsuke Nakamura
The second match in the first round of John Cenaâ€s “last time is now†tournament was Sheamus vs Shinsuke Nakamura. This match went on for 20+ minutes. Towards the end of the match, we saw Sheamus delivering his Brogue Kick to secure the win in this match via pinfall.
Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss vs Kabuki Warriors
As already announced, the main event of this episode of WWE Raw was scheduled to be Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss defending their Womenâ€s Tag Team Championship against Kabuki Warriors. This match went on for 15+ minutes. This match ended with a shocking title change, as Nia Jax distracted Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair, which allowed the Kabuki Warriors to deliver an Insane Elbow to win the match and become the new Womenâ€s Tag Team Champions.
After the match, Nia Jax and Lash Legend came to the ring and attacked Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss. After that, we saw Iyo Sky and Rhea Ripley coming out to make the save. This episode of WWE Raw went off the air, with Rhea Ripley, Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, and Iyo Sky challenging Nia Jax, Lash Legends, and the Kabuki Warriors to a Wargames match at Survivor Series.
