Jeff Hardy might be known for his daredevil moves, but even the Charismatic Enigma isnâ€t immune to the wear and tear that comes with those risks.
After a wild performance at WWE NXT Halloween Havoc, fans were worried about Jeffâ€s condition—especially following a scary ladder spot during the Broken Rules match.
Matt Hardy addressed those concerns on The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, confirming that Jeff did experience a bit of discomfort but reassured everyone that it wasnâ€t serious. When asked about the bump in question, Matt first joked there were “a couple†of rough ones, but zeroed in on the Doomsday Device spot as the most concerning.
“The Doomsday—I think he kind of jerked his neck a little bit, and it was a little tight at the end of it. I think heâ€s—I think heâ€s gonna be all good.â€
Matt also praised how the match came together on screen, noting that it “looked better than it felt†while working it live. He admitted that chaotic multi-man matches often feel messier in real-time because of how much is going on, but he was pleased with the end result after watching it back.
“Sometimes thereâ€s just things youâ€re doing—especially in tag matches—where youâ€re not aware of everything thatâ€s going on… youâ€re down selling, youâ€re hurt, and youâ€re just not sure how everything looks until you see the match in totality.â€
Despite the scare, Jeff seems to have escaped without any major injury. The Hardys gave fans a throwback performance filled with chaos, risk, and resilience—just as theyâ€ve done for decades. Jeff Hardy may be sore, but heâ€s still standing. And if Mattâ€s confidence is any indication, it wonâ€t be long before heâ€s jumping off another ladder.
