The second T20 between Ireland and England was abandoned in Dublin without a ball being bowled because of rain.
After Phil Salt led England to victory in the first match on Wednesday, weather ensured there would be no play on Friday.
The sold-out game at Malahide was due to start at 13:30 BST, but persistent rain in the prior 36 hours led to an inspection at 12:00 with umpires confirming the abandonment at 15:48.
The third and final game in the series is on Sunday.
England’s white-ball side are then in action in three one-day internationals and three T20s in New Zealand next month.
Following the finale of their summer this weekend, Ireland will tour Bangladesh in November.
