IND Vs PAK Womens World Cup Result:The Indian Womenâ€s Cricket Team has defeated Pakistan in convincing fashion in the ongoing ICC Womenâ€s World Cup 2025. This marks Indiaâ€s second win in as many matches in this competition.

The India vs Pakistan game was Match 6 of the ODI Womens World Cup 2025, played at the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo, Sri Lanka. India and Sri Lanka are jointly hosting the tournament. In this match, the Women in Green won the toss and decided to bowl first on a spinning track.

IND Vs PAK Womens World Cup: What Happened In the Match?

India got off to a great start in their inning, as the opening pair of Smriti Mandhana and Pratika Rawal looked good on the pitch for the first few overs. The duo made 45 runs in eight overs. But then, in the ninth, Mandhana was dismissed for 23 off 32, catching the Indian batter before the wicket.

After the 10-over mark, the inning slowed down to a crawl. So by the time Pratika Rawal got out in the 15th over at the team score of 67/2, only 13 runs had been scored in the last five overs.

Harleen Deol and captain Harmanpreet Kaur then focused on saving wickets. The two did not allow any more wickets to fall until the 25th over, while also taking the score over the 100-run mark. However, at the midway point of the inning, with the total being 106 runs, the skipper was dismissed.

The Indian innings was one of small but meaningful partnerships. After Kaurâ€s dismissal, Deol and Jemimah Rodrigues scored 45 runs together in the next eight overs. However, in the 24th and 36th overs, respectively, both Harleen (46 off 65) and Jemimah (32 off 37) got out.

The score was 159/5 with 15 overs remaining. So, for a second match in a row, the task of rescuing the inning fell upon the lower-middle order. Deepti Sharma made 25 off 33, Sneh Rana scored 20 off 33, and wicketkeeper Richa Ghosh made a quickfire 35 off 20.

Due to these solid innings towards the end, the Indian Womenâ€s Cricket Team played all 50 overs while still getting all out for 247.

Even under the light, the ball was going to spin on this pitch. And so, the Pakistan Womenâ€s Cricket Team had a massive task ahead of them. But they got off to a poor start to their inning.

After only six runs were scored in the first four overs, Muneeba Ali got run out in the most bizarre way. The opener believed she had returned to the crease, but she did not pay attention to the fact that she had yet to plant her foot or bat behind the line as the ball struck the stumps, and thus she got out.

The next two wickets, which also fell for cheap, were a lot more conventional. Opener Sadaf Shams was out for six off 24 in the eighth over, caught and bowled by young pacer Kranti Goud. And then, a few overs later, No. 4 batter Aliya Riaz became Goudâ€s second wicket of the day. After 12 overs, the score was 26/3.

However, next came a partnership that caused the Indian players and fans to sweat. The duo of Sidra Ameen and Natalia Pervaiz batted for 16 overs, making about 70 runs together. Around this time, India also dropped a lot of catches and missed a few opportunities to take wickets. Richa Ghosh had a particularly bad day behind the stumps.

Despite a decent partnership, the pressure of a rising required run rate caused Pervaiz to lose her wicket for 33 off 46. Captain Fatima Sana got out soon after. And so, at the end of 31 overs, the Pakistan Womenâ€s Cricket Team’s score was 102/5.

For the rest of this inning, while wickets kept falling at one end, Sidra Ameen remained firm on the other. She would end up scoring a fighting 81 off 106 before getting out. In the end, Pakistan were all out for 159 runs in 43 overs, losing the match by 88 runs.

For her brilliant 10-over spell of 3/20, Kranti Goud was named the Player of the Match.

This was Indiaâ€s second victory in this competition. In their first game, they beat Sri Lanka handily. With this win, the Women in Blue have climbed to the top of the league table. Their next match will be a high-profile game against South Africa on Thursday, October 9.

On the other hand, this was Pakistanâ€s second defeat in this tournament, as they were beaten by Bangladesh in their opening game. They are currently sitting sixth in the league with two losses in their last two games. They will face the mighty Australia in their next match on Wednesday, October 8.
