Former WWE star expressed interest in a return.
In 2017, Bobby Fish debuted in WWE, where he joined the NXT roster, quickly aligning with Kyle O’Reilly and eventually forming a group with Adam Cole and Kyle as The Undisputed Era, later adding Roderick Strong. After departing the Stamford-based promotion, they joined AEW at different times. While Cole, Strong, and Kyle are still All Elite, Bobby left in 2022 after his contract expired.
In a recent interview with TMZ Sports and TMZ Audio Network, Bobby Fish was asked if a WWE return is still on the horizon. The former Undisputed Era member noted that he can’t speak if the Stamford-based promotion wants him back, but he publicly stated that he is not opposed to the idea of becoming a superstar again
I can’t speak for them (WWE). You know I’m not closed off to it. I enjoyed my time there. They are who they are, and at the end of the day, I’m still a pro wrestler.”
Bobby Fish Names His WWE Dream Opponent
From the same interview, Bobby was asked who his dream opponent is in World Wrestling Entertainment. First, he answered Samoa Joe, but noted he was in AEW. Fish then said he can’t say Fit Finlay either, as nobody would want to see them clash due to their age.
Finally, Bobby Fish answered that he would want to have another match with AJ Styles, with whom he had great chemistry during their previous matches.
As far as who’s there now, I and I have had a match with him before, but how the fu** you going to go wrong with AJ Styles? And we had great chemistry in the match.”
Fish compared it to his AEW match with Bryan Danielson, stating that despite it being years since they last fought each other, they still had great in-ring connection, which he thinks would translate the same to The Phenomenal One.
So with AJ, I would think it would be the same, and if I got to [wrestle him again] that’s it dream opponent in WWE right now, AJ Styles.”
It remains to be seen if Bobby Fish will ever return to WWE.
