We are pleased to announce that Ryan Hoarfrost is the new owner of Paddle Palace Table Tennis as of August 22nd, 2025. He now owns 100% of the stock. The previous owner, Judy Hoarfrost, is retiring from the company.

Judy stated, “It is time for the younger generation to bring fresh energy and ideas into the future. Ryan has already proven his abilities by taking on the major managerial role in recent years. Paddle Palace is dear to my heart, and I am excited to see Paddle Palace as it grows with Ryan at the helm.”

Paddle Palace is the distributor for the major brands of table tennis as well as selling online directly to the public at paddlepalace.com. In addition, next door to the equipment company Paddle Palace runs Paddle Palace Club, a professional table tennis club offering lessons, tournaments, leagues, classes, and drop-in play. Paddle Palace began as a table tennis playing facility in Portland, Oregon in 1973, and expanded to become the premier distributor of table tennis products in North America. Paddle Palace moved its location to downtown Tigard in the suburbs of Portland, Oregon in 2015.

Ryan Hoarfrost has been involved with Paddle Palace and the sport of table tennis his whole life. Even at the age of 9 he performed on national tv in China doing an exhibition match. One of the top players in Oregon, he has a USATT rating of 2200. After graduating from Oregon State University in 2011, Ryan has been employed full-time at Paddle Palace. As a businessman and as a player, Ryan is respected as a foremost expert in table tennis equipment.

Ryan Hoarfrost stated, “Our staff and I care deeply about serving the needs of the table tennis community and providing the best quality table tennis products at a fair price. I greatly appreciate all the support of our table tennis community and loyal customers. I am looking forward to honoring the legacy of Paddle Palace as we look to the future.”
