A former AEW star recalls his experience teaching up-and-coming wrestlers the ropes in Bulgaria.
Former AEW star Alan Angels took to social media to talk about his experience visiting Bulgaria and “helping train the first generation of Bulgarian wrestlers in almost 80 years.†He also posted a group photo with the trainees.
“This week I got the chance to go to Bulgaria and help train the first generation of Bulgarian wrestlers in almost 80 years! It was an amazing experience with an amazing class! Best of luck to all of them and I hope to be back! @wrestlacademybg,†he wrote.
Alan Angels joined AEW in 2020, where he gained recognition as a member of The Dark Order. He unsuccessfully challenged Kenny Omega for the world title on the November 7, 2021, episode of Dynamite. He left All Elite Wrestling following the expiration of his contract the next year.
Angels appeared on the November 3, 2022, episode of iMPACT Wrestling, where he and Kon joined Violent By Design. His contract with TNA Wrestling expired at the end of 2024 and wasnâ€t renewed. Angels later took to social media after the Fightful report to confirm that he is a free agent.
