Ronda Rousey received some harsh comments from Eric Bischoff.
During Ronda Rousey’s recent guesting on Bert Kreischer’s podcast, the titular host revealed that he contacted Joe Rogan to ask for tips on how to beat her. The former WWE star noted that Joe wouldn’t know how to do it, as he wasn’t a fighter and was only a fan with an audience. It was pointed out that he has Taekwondo experience, which the former UFC fighter said doesn’t count as fighting.
Her statement reached Eric Bischoff, who replied to it on X (Twitter), by stating that Judo, Rousey’s main MMA sport, also doesn’t count as fighting, which Ronda should ask Holly Holm, who ruined her undefeated streak. Now, the WWE Hall of Famer expanded on his thoughts about the matter.
Neither is judo. Ask @HollyHolm@RAFWrestlingUSA@foxnationhttps://t.co/10KsNRptUp

Eric Bischoff Just Wanted To Stir Up Some Drama With Ronda Rousey’s Comments
In a recent episode of the 83 Weeks with Eric Bischoff podcast, with the YouTube video titled “Ronda Rousey needs to shut up,” the WWE Hall of Famer said he just wanted to stir up some stuff.
Eric noted that every MMA principle is different, and although he doesn’t know Joe Rogan, he thinks that his way of learning the sport was different from how they do it in the Olympics, which was basically just “contact tag,” while the UFC commentator focuses on the punching and kicking techniques.
Bischoff continued that he has a lot of respect for people who practice Judo, which is an effective self-defense skill, but could also be argued as not a fighting technique. However, he doubled down that it was just his way to stir up drama and get attention for Holly since she’s part of Real American Freestyle.
I just think the statement was a little bit of a shot, and you could say the same thing about judo. Judo is a very effective self-defense skill. Because you’re trained to take people down and use their weight against them and all that, all that good stuff. And I have a lot of respect for people that are great at judo, but you could also say judo is not really a fighting skill, so it’s, it, it was more of a way just to stir up some s**t and have some fun and I wanted to help get some attention on Holly home because she’s part of Real American freestyle.”
