Enzo Amore didnâ€t just believe in himself—he says his promo game was unbeatable.
During his appearance on The John Rondi Show, the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion made a bold claim: give him five minutes, and heâ€ll deliver a better promo than anyone else in the business. He explained how he could write and memorize an entire segment just minutes before walking through the curtain, down to the smallest word choices.
“I can write a promo five minutes before I go through the curtain thatâ€s better than anybody elseâ€s in the world, memorize every single word, and not f** up a single word. And Iâ€m talking about from the word ‘but†and the word ‘and.†If I meant to say the word ‘and,†Iâ€m going to say ‘and.†And if I do say ‘but,†itâ€ll be as many times as I could count on one maybe two hands in the history of my career where I like botched a word—but only I know it. So, you wouldnâ€t know.â€*
Even when the crowd roared and the locker room praised him, Enzo admits heâ€d often walk backstage obsessing over tiny mistakes no one else noticed.
“I might come through the curtain like, ‘F**, I fed up the promo.†Meanwhile, everyone else in the back is like, ‘That was the greatest promo Iâ€ve ever heard.†And Big Cass is like, ‘Bro, what the f are you talking about? That was f**ing amazing.†And Iâ€m like, ‘Bro, I forgot a line.â€â€
For Enzo, the promo wasnâ€t just part of the show—it was the entire show. His sharp delivery, crowd control, and self-imposed standards made him a standout, even if some saw it as arrogance.
