English youngsters Abraham Sellado and Connor Green have qualified for the annual Europe Top 10 event set to be held in Tours, France from October 3-5. The annual event sees the top 10 ranked players in Europe, who accept their invite, go head to head where the winner will be crowned champion.
Abraham Sellado will take part in the Cadet Boys Singles at the event. Sellado ranked number 8 in Europe, makes his debut at the Europe Top 10 event, and comes into the event as the number 6 seed, with two higher ranked players not in attendance, including European champion and 2024 Europe Top 10 winner Danilo Faso of Italy. Sellado will be hopeful heading into the competition, with several familiar faces listed to compete, including both European Youth Hungarian Cadet Team members, Mark Gergely and Lenard Szabo, who Sellado both defeated and lost to, at the event in Ostrava.

Draycott and Long Eaton TTC player Connor Green is not stranger to representing England at the highest level, having made his England senior debut at last seasons European Championships and is set to be part of the England team named for the 2025 European Team Championships this October, held in Zadar. Green led the England European Youth Championships Junior Boys team to their highest finish in recent years and earnt promotion to the A tier.
Green comes into this event seeded number 8, despite being ranked 16 in Europe, in a super competitive field. Familiar faces include second seed Daniel Berzosa of Spain, who ended Green’s run in the singles event at the recent European Youth Championships. Top seed in this year’s field is Tiago Abiodun of Portugal, a former Cadet Europe Top 10 champion, and bronze medallist at last year’s event, only losing out to Flavien Coton (FRA) and Andre Bertelsmeier (GER) who are both now ranked within the top 100 on the WTT Senior Men’s ranking list.
