Dustin Rhodes is eyeing a return to the AEW ring—but fans will have to wait just a little longer.
The 56-year-old wrestling veteran, who underwent double knee replacement surgery earlier this year, gave fans an update on Twitter about how his recovery is progressing. While Rhodes has remained optimistic throughout rehab, he finally hinted at a target month for his return—and itâ€s not around the corner.
When asked by a fan how his knees are doing, Rhodes gave a brutally honest assessment of the situation:
“They still hurt a bit, especially in the mornings. I do have a good ways to go. Remember, I am 56 and pushing hard; just takes time. Not young anymore. Prob March I should be ready to kill everyone lol. Maybe, I am pushing hard, my man.â€
Rhodes hasnâ€t wrestled since July and was still holding championship gold at the time of his injury. He and the Von Erichs had just vacated the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Titles, and with Sammy Guevara now defending the ROH Tag Titles as part of La Facción Ingobernable, itâ€s clear AEW has moved forward—but Rhodes isnâ€t done just yet.
With March 2026 now penciled in as his potential return, the countdown begins for what could be one of the final runs in the storied career of The Natural.
