While Dominik Mysterio is a gem in WWE, a veteran thinks Bron Breakker will be prioritized when it comes to deciding who will be a World Champion in the company first.
Both Mysterio and Breakker have impressed the pro-wrestling world with their skill in the ring and their character work. While The Judgment Day member recently lost his Intercontinental Title to John Cena, the fact that he got so much time with the retiring legend indicates how he is seen backstage. Similarly, Breakker getting to work with Paul Heyman directly in his relatively new run on the main roster is a testament to his potential.
Although Jim Cornette has often praised Bron Breakker since his time in NXT, he does admit that Dom Mysterio also has what it takes to be a World Champion. However, the WWE veteran mentioned on an episode of his Drive-Thru podcast that there are reasons to believe that Breakker will get to bag the top gold first. He said that since Rey Mysterio’s son was younger and had time on his hands, Breakker was the obvious choice for the WWE World Title push:
It’s going to be Bron. And I’m not even jumping in and saying that because I’m such a Bron Breaker fan and everybody’s going, oh, he’s going to glaze Bron Breaker. I’ve been saying he’s the future of wrestling and the best prospect in it since we saw him in NXT a couple of years ago, but I don’t say that to say I told you so or brag because you’d have to be a complete blithering simpleton if you’d ever been involved in the wrestling business, and you haven’t for the past two years been saying Bron Breaker’s the next major star in wrestling.
This is not a hard goddamn shot to call. But they’re going to put him in that spot before they’re going to put Dominik in it. Also because Dominik, he’s still younger and also his gimmick, and he’s got so much mileage, more mileage left in this gimmick of being the punk kid, the weasel with the bad attitude.

The WWE Veteran Thinks That It Is Unlikely For Dominik Mysterio To Get Pushed Before Bron Breakker
Further explaining his point of view, Jim Cornette talked about how even without an injury problem for Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker was going to be pushed by creative in the main event picture.
Adding to his previous comments on the same episode of his podcast, the WWE veteran humorously stated that only a major problem would lead to Breakker being sidelined from the active scene.
He said:
Well, I mean, there could be a locker room-wide leprosy outbreak, and you have to make changes. But even without the Rollins injury, Bron was going to be World Champion first. I’m just telling you. It will – unless they are faced with some ridiculous situation where one of their main event guys gets kidnapped on short notice – they’re not going to pull the trigger on Dom too soon and f**k him up. ’cause they know they got something. It is, it’s going to happen sometime, but it will not happen before Bron. And it wouldn’t have happened before Bron, even if Seth Rollins hadn’t got hurt.
Whether Triple H is also thinking along the same lines about the two rising WWE stars remains to be seen.
