Dominik Mysterio Explains The Meaning Behind His New Neck Tattoo

Dominik Mysterio recently showed off some new ink and revealed the meaning behind his latest tattoo.

Mysterio recently appeared on the Towers of Powers podcast (via WrestlePurists) and opened up about his new neck tattoo. The tattoo itself features part of the Aztec calendar, as well as the silhouette of his uncle, Rey Misterio Sr.â€s mask.

Despite the loving tribute, Mysterio joked that itâ€s been a big regret as the still-unfinished tattoo is quite painful to get. “Itâ€s part of the Aztec calendar with my uncleâ€s mask in the middle,†said Mysterio. “Itâ€s like two-thirds of the way done… It was a terrible decision… ‘cause the pain — and once you do it, you canâ€t just go like, ‘Okay, Iâ€m done. Iâ€m not going to finish it.’â€

“The finished product is going to go down here more, so itâ€s bothering me already that itâ€s unfinished. But Iâ€m a sicko. The neck hurt either way. Itâ€s just — it all hurts.â€

Since his full-time debut in WWE in 2019, Mysterio has quickly risen to become one of the biggest stars in the company, and one of its biggest heels. Mysterio was recently the WWE Intercontinental Champion, but lost the title to John Cena this past week.
