Dana White has banned Dillon Danis from attending a UFC again after he was ejected from the crowd at UFC 322 for his involvement in a brawl that broke out ringside ahead of Saturday night’s main card at Madison Square Garden.
“I was on the other side [of the Octagon] and go, ‘F–k, I know exactly what this is,'” White said, per ESPN’s Brett Okamoto. “You will never see Dillon Danis at a UFC fight ever again.”
Danis was in attendance at the event after winning the inaugural Misfits MMA title with a 15-second submission win over Warren Spencer in August. He will defend the title against Anthony Taylor on Dec. 20 in Dubai.
This isn’t the first time Danis has been kicked out of Madison Square Garden. He was reportedly removed from the venue in 2021 following a backstage altercation with MMA manager Ali Abdelaziz during UFC 268.
Danis’ latest ejection wasn’t the only exciting action taking place Saturday night in Manhattan.
Prior to the ringside brawl, Bo Nickal knocked out Rodolfo Vieira with a head kick 2:24 into the third round of their middleweight prelim bout.
Shortly after Danis’ ejection, Benoit Saint-Denis’ catchweight fight against Beneil Dariush lasted just 16 seconds before Saint-Denis knocked out his opponent with a left hook.
The night will be capped off when UFC welterweight champion Jack Della Maddalena attempts his first title defense against Islam Makhachev.
Della Maddalena has held his belt since defeating Belal Muhammad in five rounds during UFC 315 in May in Montreal.
Makhachev will meanwhile be competing with a title on the line for his sixth straight fight.
