More on WWE’s relationship with Lucha Libre AAA
Earlier this year at WrestleMania 41, WWE announced it’s acquisition of Mexico-based promotion, Lucha Libre AAA.
The acquisition is a joint venture with Filip, a Mexican sports and entertainment holding company. Since then, the two promotions have produced multiple cross-promotional events. Over the past few months, stars from both companies have appeared on each other’s shows, gaining significant visibility.
While Mr. Iguana has become a breakout favorite among WWE fans, El Grande Americano and Dominik Mysterio are currently two of the most talked-about stars in Lucha Libre AAA.
