CM Punk Declared Heel Post World Heavyweight Championship Win

CM Punk was declared a heel by a celebrity on social media.

CM Punk defeated Jey Uso at Saturday Night’s Main Event to win the vacant WWE World Heavyweight Championship. This was Punk’s 7th world title in the company, and his first proper title reign in over 12 years. The last time he was champion was on August 2, when he beat The Ring General Gunther for the same title on SummerSlam Night 1. But Mr. Money in the Bank Seth Rollins cashed in the contract to rip the title off Punk.

They faced off again in a fatal four-way match at Clash in Paris with Uso and LA Knight, but Rollins retained the title with the help of his wife, Becky Lynch. Punk then won a triple threat match against Knight and Uso, becoming the #1 contender for the championship right after Crown Jewel. However, due to a shoulder injury, he had to relinquish the title, leaving Punk without an opponent. Uso then won a 20-man Battle Royal next week on Monday Night RAW to face Punk at SNME for the world title.

However, following this major win by CM Punk, he was declared a heel.

CM Punk Becomes a Seven-Time World Champion in WWE

As Punk won the championship, he started celebrating the win on the ring posts. As he went to the ringside, the famous singer and rapper Post Malone was present among the audience. Punk spotted and went towards him, who greeted the newly crowned champion with congratulatory words and a big hug.

Later, on Tuesday night, Malone shared a tweet with two images on his social media. He’s with Dominik Mysterio in one, whereas in another image, Punk is choking his neck. He wrote a caption,

This caption implied the actions by the wrestler in the images. Mysterio, despite being an actual heel, is looking all happy and posing with Malone, whereas Punk, who is the most beloved star in the company right now and a babyface, is choking the celebrity.

This was not the first time he was present at the ringside. Malone has been a regular presence at WWE shows, notably at Clash in Paris this year, along with Randy Orton’s tag team partner, Jelly Roll.
