Asia Cup 2025 Squads Of All Teams: The 17th version of the Asia Cup, the premier continental cricket tournament in Asia, will be conducted this year. It will be held in the UAE from September 9, and it will conclude on September 28.
The BCCI (India) are the designated host of the Asia Cup 2025. But because of Pakistan not travelling to India, the tournament will be played in the UAE, with the BCCI retaining the hosting rights.
Earlier this year, Pakistan was the host of the ICC Champions Trophy, but all of India’s matches, including the final, were played in Dubai.
Team India is the defending champions of the Asia Cup. They won in 2023 under Rohit Sharma’s captaincy. However, that was in the ODI format, and this year’s competition will be conducted in the T20I format, given there is a T20 World Cup early next year.
Eight teams are part of the tournament, with them being divided into two groups of four each. India and Pakistan are slated together in Group A, along with Oman and UAE. Group B includes Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh.
The top two teams from each group will proceed to the Super 4 round, from where the top two sides will clash in the final.
