AJ Lee’s most memorable WWE moments: AJ Lee has officially returned to WWE after being away for 10 years. She came back on the September 5 episode of SmackDown in Chicago, where she joined her husband, CM Punk. They faced off against Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch, another married couple in WWE.

As AJ Lee returned and entered the ring after 10 long years, she attacked Becky Lynch, making the Women’s Intercontinental Champion run away. Her return is linked to Punk’s ongoing rivalry with Rollins, which has heated up since Rollins used his Money in the Bank contract to win the World Heavyweight Championship from Punk at SummerSlam. After Lynch interfered at Clash in Paris to help Rollins keep the title, Punk hinted that something big was coming, and that surprise turned out to be AJ Lee.

AJ Lee was one of WWE’s top stars in the early 2010s, known for her wild character, sharp promos, and her signature skipping entrance. She has won the Divas Championship three times, matching the record for most titles. She retired in 2015 after WrestleMania 31 due to injuries, later focusing on writing and producing, including working on Women of Wrestling.

AJ Lee’s most memorable WWE moments

AJ Lee’s WWE career is filled with standout moments that made her one of the most talked-about stars of her era. Here are some of AJ Lee’s most memorable WWE moments:

    Becoming Raw General Manager

One of her earliest big storylines came when she was supposed to marry Daniel Bryan on live TV, but instead shocked everyone by leaving him at the altar and being named the General Manager of Raw during the 1000th episode.

    Winning the Divas Championship

Another high point in her career was defeating Kaitlyn for the first Divas Championship at WWE Payback 2013. Lee played mind games by pretending to be Kaitlyn’s secret admirer in the storyline leading up to the match. Once in the ring, she proved she could back it up, beginning her reign as champion.

The WrestleMania 28 “Kiss of Doom”

Fans also remember WrestleMania 28 for the infamous “kiss of doom.” As Daniel Bryan’s on-screen girlfriend, AJ Lee gave him a good-luck kiss before his World Heavyweight Championship match against Sheamus. He lost the title in just 18 seconds after the kiss distracted him.

    The Pipe Bombshell Promo

But AJ’s most iconic career moment is widely considered her “pipe bombshell” promo in 2013. With the cast of Total Divas in the ring, AJ ripped into the division, mocking their reality TV fame and questioning how the Bella Twins rose to the top. She ended her promo with her legendary line about them never being able to lace up her Chuck Taylors.
