Punjab Kings have started their IPL 2026 reset by releasing several players as part of their pre-auction plan. They finished at the top of the table last season with 19 points, winning 9 out of 14 games, with one match abandoned and one voided. Their comeback was driven mainly by their new captain, Shreyas Iyer, who changed the teamâ€s direction and confidence.
PBKS lost Qualifier 1 at home to RCB, but they reached the final after getting through a fortunate Qualifier 2 against the Mumbai Indians. Even though they lost to RCB, the season was still a major success under Shreyas Iyerâ€s leadership.
