AJ Styles is an American professional wrestler. He was born in Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune on 2 June 1977. Styles began his professional wrestling career on the independent circuit. He made his debut in the TNA in 2002 and quickly became one of the biggest stars of the company. In 2014, he went international and joined New Japan Pro Wrestling, where he became the leader of the biggest heel faction of the company, The Bullet Club.
In 2016, Styles made his official debut in the WWE at the 2016 Royal Rumble match. In the same year, Styles won his first-ever WWE Championship at Backlash 2016. Styles also holds one of the records for the longest World Championship reigns in the title’s modern history. He held the Championship for more than 370 days.
As of now, in November 2025, Styles currently holds the WWE World Tag Team Championship with his tag team partner, Dragon Lee.
