John Cena needs a final opponent, and the tournament to decide who will face him in his last match is heating up. This weekâ€s SmackDown included two more matches in that historic single elimination tournament.
The November 14 episode of WWE SmackDown brought a lot of action as they continued building toward the future. John Cena needs a final opponent, and they took care of a couple of matches this week on the blue brand.
WWE has introduced a 16-man tournament titled “The Last Time is Now†to determine the final opponent for John Cenaâ€s retirement match on December 13th. The tournament started on November 10th and includes wrestlers from Raw, SmackDown, and NXT, along with the possibility of surprise entrants during the process.
This weekâ€s SmackDown saw The Miz take on Jey Uso in singles action. After a hard-fought match, Jey Uso was able to win after a top rope splash on the A-Lister.
The second match saw LA Knight take on a returning Zack Ryder in singles action. This was a surprise to see Ryder back in WWE, especially as he wasnâ€t going as Matt Cardona. Although it was exciting to see Ryder return to WWE, LA Knight nailed his BFT and got the win to advance.
We will keep a close eye on this tournament, because the winner will get a historic match. Only time will tell who picks up all the wins down to the finals, but we will be waiting for Saturday Nightâ€s Main Event.
