The pro wrestling community is uniting to help out a recently released WWE star in need.
The past month has been pretty awful for Ridge Holland (real name: Luke Menzies). After injuring himself at a TNA taping, the 37-year-old was hit with the news that WWE won’t be extending his contract. Things got worse after he seemingly spoke out against the company, stating that “he was hung out to dry” and unable to pay his mortgage, though he specified the Stamford-based promotion was covering his physical therapy.
WWE officials were reportedly unhappy with Holland’s social media post and terminated his contract early, which was originally set to expire on November 14. Following this development, a GoFundMe was launched for Holland’s family, who are going through difficult times, and some AEW stars, among others from the wrestling community, have stepped up.

AEW’s Nick Jackson and Kyle Fletcher Make Donations To Ridge Holland’s GoFundMe After WWE Release
The fundraising campaign started by Susan Chapman got much-needed attention after Chelsea Green shared it on her X/Twitter handle. The WWE star also made a generous donation to prove why she remains a hero in real life despite being a heel on TV.
More wrestlers have chipped in since, with AEW’s Nick Jackson and Kyle Fletcher donating $1000 each to push the overall figure closer to its $60K goal.

Ridge Holland has three children and a wife to support, and the recent events have hit the family really hard. The former NXT Tag Team Champion is expected to undergo surgery in March 2026 and possibly a neck surgery later this month, which is expected to keep him away from the ring until April/May of next year. That is, if his recovery goes as planned.
Pro wrestling can be an unforgiving business for contracted talents, whether they are in WWE, AEW, or elsewhere, and Ridge Holland and his family are unfortunately facing the impact of a series of setbacks.
