A WWE event is just on the horizon, and Shawn Michaels recently took to social media to announce it. The countdown for NXT Deadline is truly on.
Deadline is one of the final premium live events of the year for NXT, and as such, is expected to have a stacked card. As of now, no official matches have been declared. However, the banner in Shawn Michaels’ X/Twitter post features stars like Tatum Paxley, Ethan Page, and Blake Monroe, with Ricky Saints being the most prominent.
Shawn Michaels certainly seems very excited about the event. The announcement also states that it will take place in his hometown, San Antonio, Texas.
Home sweet home in San Antonio. The countdownâ€s on for #NXTDeadline… time to see who delivers when every second counts.”

Shawn Michaels Considers His Bout With The Undertaker His Final WWE Match
While Shawn teamed up with Triple H in his final match to take on The Undertaker and Kane, he likes to believe that his one-on-one bout bout with The Phenom was his last proper in-ring outing.
Speaking in an interview with Chris Van Vliet on Insight, the WWE legend stated:
Itâ€s that one with Undertaker [at WrestleMania 26]. Because the other one it was a tag match, it was DX, and I feel kind of bad, because I donâ€t mean it in a negative way, but that was just sort of like, I donâ€t know. It was like Kiss going out, and not even with the original members or whatever, and playing a concert at The Troubadour or something. It was like, Oh, but theyâ€re not really retired, and I know Kiss never retired, just felt like a special, separate one-off.
HBK and Mr. Wrestlemania, The Showstopper, whatever, that ended with ‘Taker at WrestleMania, because I still came back and refereed the match between Hunter and ‘Taker, and again, and will always play a role in the WWE. Would it count if I went into the Rumble this year or something? Donâ€t get me wrong.â€
It remains unlikely that Michaels will ever be participating inside the ring again, but more unexpected things have happened before.
