However, it was Gill who was dismissed first. Looking to hot Bartlett down the ground, the skipper instead chipped the ball and was caught at mid-off, 17/1.

This over went from bad to worse for India when, just four balls later, Virat Kohli was trapped in front of the stumps by a ball that just nipped back enough. This was Kohliâ€s second duck dismissal in as many games, 17/2.

After a double-wicket maiden, the Men in Blue were in deep trouble. But this was when Rohit Sharma mounted a rescue with vice-captain Shreyas Iyer. The two Mumbai batters stayed at the crease till the 30th over, making 118 runs together.

However, the third wicket was to come in the 30th over. Robot Sharma looked to hit his signature pull shot to Mitchell Starc, and was promptly caught behind square. He made 73 off 97 and after this wicket, the Indian score was 135/3.

Over the next 20 overs, Indian batters world come in, get off to a decent start to their inning, and get out before making big runs.

First, Shreyas Iyer departed soon after Rohitâ€s wicket, bowled by aadam zampa for 61 off 77, 160/4. KL Rahul got out after only making 11 runs, 174/5

Washington Sundar did not make much of an impact too, scoring just 12 before becoming Bartlettâ€s third wicket of the day.

The only batter in the last seven to make any proper runs was Azar Patel, who made 44 off 41. Couple that with a decent 24 runs by Harshit Rana and 13 by Arshdeep Singh, and India dragged themselves to 264/9 in their alloted 50 overs.
