Syko Stuâ€s in-ring career may have come to an abrupt end following the violent assault by Raja Jackson that left him hospitalized with multiple injuries.
Doug Malo recently spoke to TMZ Sports about Stuâ€s condition and whether fans might ever see him wrestle again. When asked if returning to the ring could be a goal for Stu, Malo admitted it wasnâ€t realistic—but revealed that a special tribute event is already being planned.
Malo confirmed that Valor Pro Wrestling will hold an event for Stu on November 15, which he plans to attend. He explained that being part of the show would give him some closure.
“Thereâ€s going to be an event for Stu with Valor Pro Wrestling around November 15th, and I plan to see him there. Iâ€m really looking forward to it because itâ€ll give me some closure.â€
According to Malo, Stuâ€s close friend who is helping organize the event has already said Stu is finished with any in-ring work. After speaking with Stuâ€s wife and friends, Malo agreed that returning to the ring isnâ€t an option given his health struggles.
“His close friend, who I talked to and whoâ€s organizing the event, said that Stu is done with any in-ring work. I also know about some of the things heâ€s been dealing with from my last conversation with his wife and friends. I donâ€t think getting back in the ring would ever work again. I think it would be kind of cool if we could maybe reverse the roles—like I get beat up in the ring, and he comes out with his music, stands on the apron, and sends people in. You know what I mean? I think thatâ€s as far as we could go from here. But honestly, I donâ€t think it would be smart at this point. He took a lot of damage, and with what he was already dealing with, he wasnâ€t exactly a spring chicken even before the incident.â€
The attack and its aftermath appear to have closed the door on any full return to wrestling for Syko Stu, despite the passion and energy he still carried for the business. Still, fans and fellow wrestlers will come together at the upcoming Valor Pro Wrestling event to honor him with a proper send-off, celebrating one of the most respected veterans in the sport.
Do you think Syko Stu should still make a symbolic appearance at the event even if he canâ€t wrestle again? Share your thoughts in the comments and let us know how youâ€d like to see him honored.
