AEW Dynamite saw a big decrease in viewership on October 1 with their sixth anniversary special.
According to Wrestlenomics, 465,000 viewers watched the show on Wednesday night, and it drew a 0.09 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The viewership is down from last weekâ€s episode, when 638,000 viewers tuned in. The demo also dropped from last week‘s episode, which drew a 0.14 rating in the same demographic.
Viewership for Wednesdayâ€s show on MAX is unknown at this time.
What happened on AEW Dynamite this week?
This weekâ€s show kicked off with Kenny Omega and Brodido defeating Josh Alexander and the Young Bucks in trios action. After the match, Andrade El Idolo returned to the company and attacked Omega before joining the Don Callis Family.
Kyle Fletcher defeated Orange Cassidy to retain the AEW TNT Championship.
In womenâ€s action, “Timeless†Toni Storm defeated Tay Melo.
In the main event of the evening, Darby Allin and Kris Statlander defeated Wheeler Yuta and Marina Shafir in a mixed tag tornado matchup.

AEW Dynamite Review:
Wow. This was a fantastic show and absolutely worthy of an anniversary show for this company. We got a shocking return. Some great build for WrestleDream later this month and a lot of great in-ring action.
If not for one match kinda dragging the show down a bit, I think this would have been an “A†grade show for me. But I gotta go with an A- due to that. Thatâ€s still nothing to be ashamed of. Tonightâ€s show was excellent, and I think theyâ€ll follow things up strong next week with Title Tuesday as they go head-to-head with NXT and TNA.
