WWE Raw is set to shuffle its weekly start times over the next month as the company and Netflix experiment with different broadcast windows. The goal is to balance the demands of primetime competition, live audiences in local markets, and international scheduling.
According to Fightful Select, Raw will kick off at 7 PM ET this coming Monday as part of the trial. The show will then move back to its usual 8 PM ET start time on October 6, 20, and 27. The decision was made largely to avoid putting fans in a bind on the West Coast, as a 7 PM ET start would have meant a 4 PM local entry time for markets like Sacramento and Anaheim.
On October 15, the schedule will flip in the other direction with Raw beginning at 8 AM ET. That broadcast falls just after Crown Jewel in Australia, so the timing reflects the massive time zone difference.
WWE is also said to be reviewing start times for upcoming shows in Boston and Madison Square Garden, weighing whether adjustments could benefit both the live crowd and streaming audience. The testing phase signals that WWE and Netflix are open to moving away from Rawâ€s long-standing start time if the results are favorable..
