TNA Knockouts World Champion Ash By Elegance opened TNA Victory Road with a major announcement that rocked the locker room and the crowd alike. Flanked by Director of Authority Santino Marella and TNA President Carlos Silva, the former champion took center stage and revealed sheâ€s stepping away from in-ring competition—effective immediately.
Ash, who was scheduled to defend the Knockouts Title against Masha Slamovich (match was pulled), addressed the Orlando crowd in what quickly became a heartfelt farewell. While rumors had circulated for days about her medical clearance, the confirmation came straight from Ash herself.
“This is going to be difficult,†she began, before explaining her journey to TNA. “I came here a year ago and TNA became my home. I came to elevate the title and represent the company.†Fighting back emotion, she continued: “Iâ€m no longer able to compete and do what I love to do.â€
Ash added: “It was an honor to perform for the TNA fans, whether you cheered me or booed me—and you rightfully booed me because I was a stuck-up btch to you.â€* She then confirmed she was relinquishing the Knockouts Championship and told fans: “You gave me the best moments of my life, and Iâ€ll miss you.†With that, she left the ring to a thunderous ovation.
Santino Marella followed the emotional scene by announcing that the Knockouts Title match would be rescheduled for Thursdayâ€s TNA iMPACT. A new champion will be crowned in a battle royal, with the final two competitors squaring off to claim the vacant title.
