Jacob Fatu hasnâ€t been seen on WWE programming in quite some time.
Back at SummerSlam in the beginning of August, Jacob Fatu failed to defeat Solo Sikoa in a steel cage match to recapture the United States Championship. Several weeks later, Fatu would appear in the closing moments of the August 29 episode of SmackDown in the United States Title match between Sikoa and Sami Zayn, helping Zayn capture the title by evening the odds at ringside.
Despite that seemingly being Fatuâ€s big return to TV following SummerSlam, the Samoan Werewolf hasnâ€t been seen since. So whatâ€s going on with Fatu and WWE?
According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Jacob Fatu will be back on WWE programming imminently. This means we could see him as early as tonight on SmackDown.
Fightfulâ€s Sean Ross Sapp (via Fightful Select) seemingly backed up this report. Adding that he was told that Fatu was never expected to miss much time.
Perhaps the bigger story that has yet to be revealed is why heâ€s missed so much time in the past two months to begin with.
Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more information as it becomes available.
