Earlier this month, on the September 5th edition of SmackDown, former Divas Champion AJ Lee made a shocking return to help her husband. She came out and took out Becky Lynch after The Man had put her hands on Lee’s husband, the Second City Saint CM Punk.
CM Punk was recently interviewed on the Pardon My Take podcast. During the interview, the self-proclaimed Best in the World shared his thoughts on his wife’s shocking return to the Stamford-based promotion.
“I’m having the time of my life. I’m like the uber-nerdiest wife guy. I always like to say I try to spend as much time with my wife as I can, and I spend a lot of time with her. And it never feels like it’s enough. So having her be back in this environment with me at work is like a dream come true.” [H/T WrestlingNews.co]
This Saturday night at the Wrestlepalooza Premium Live Event, AJ Lee will be competing in her first wrestling match since 2015. Upon seeing his wife prepare for her first match in a decade, the Second City Saint claimed that his wife is inspirational.
“She’s inspirational, honestly. Her willpower, a lot of that’s diet. But she’s also super strong in the gym and she’s, like, lifting heavy weights and busting her ass all the time,” CM Punk said.

CM Punk and his wife, AJ Lee, will be teaming up with each other for the first time in over a decade to take on another couple in Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins at Wrestlepalooza.
