After it was reported over the weekend that Andrade has parted ways with WWE, the veteran Superstar took to social media to thank his former company.
Andrade posted a photo on Instagram with the message, “Thank You!” following his exit from WWE:
Andrade also posted a tweet with a similar message of gratitude:
Andrade most recently appeared on WWE television at the SummerSlam premium live event last month. He teamed with Rey Fenix in the six-pack tag team Tables, Ladders and Chairs match for the WWE Tag Team Championships, but they failed to win the titles.
Following the report of Andrade’s departure from WWE, details emerged about what led to the decision. Jon Alba of The Takedown on SI reported that his exit “was not a mutual decision,” while PWInsider’s Mike Johnson added that “it was the company’s call.” A report from BodySlam (via Steve Carrier of Ringside News) revealed that there were differences of opinion between Andrade and the company’s creative team. In recent weeks, there reportedly were also communication issues between WWE and the 35-year-old.
Additionally, Fightful Select (via Carrier) reported that WWE was originally planning to have Andrade and Fenix face The Wyatt Sicks for the Tag Team Championships at the Clash in Paris PLE, but the company had to insert the Street Profits into the match when it wasn’t able to reach Andrade.
Despite the questions surrounding his departure from WWE, Andrade is still a top in-ring talent who will likely garner some major interest from other promotions while he’s on the open market.
