Terence Crawford was clearly the better fighter during Saturday’s unanimous-decision victory over Canelo Alvarez that earned him the undisputed middleweight title, but the latter is open to a potential rematch.
“Like I said to him, I feel great to share the ring with great fighters like him,” Alvarez said after the fight (1:40 mark). “And if we do it again, it’s going to be great. But you know what? I’m glad to share the ring with great fighters. And I’m glad to be here.”
Oliver Jones of Marca noted Alvarez signed a four-fight deal with Turki Alalshikh with Riyadh Season that could be extended to a fifth fight. The bout against Crawford was just the second one on the contract, so there are at least two more remaining.
