On 9 September 2025, Otávio completed his switch to Al-Qadsiah. After the deal, he posted a long goodbye note on social media.Otávio wrote:“Time has come to say goodbye and it’s not easy to find the right words. I arrived in a different country, with its own unique culture, and I couldn’t have asked for better people to welcome me. Each of you received me as one of your own and made this experience truly special.”He added:“This is not the way I would have wished to leave Al-Nassr, but football is like that… full of decisions that are sometimes beyond our control. Otávio joined Al-Nassr from Porto in August 2023. The fee was €60 million, the biggest in the club’s history. He played 57 matches and scored 11 goals for the team.During his stay, Otávio lined up with Cristiano Ronaldo in 72 games. Together they won 51 times. But they never lifted a trophy as teammates in Riyadh. Ronaldo stayed the main scorer. Otávio gave balance in midfield.With Portugal, they featured in 13 matches together.
